In 1887 wines from the Zabala Vineyard in the Maipo Valley of Chile founded by Don Francisco
de Rojas won the International Gold Medal of Excellence in Paris. Descendants of his line
are keeping the tradition of fine wine making to this day.

The Rojas family with grape growing operations in the Aconcagua Valley have joined the
Vicente family of the San Esteban Winery, to produce 20,000 cases per year of a
Private Reserve Wine, geared to highest quality under the label of Alma de Chile.

By lowering yields and harvesting riper grapes, the Carmeneres, Cabernets, Merlots,Syrahs,
Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blanc produced at the Winery, are well structured,
with balance and harmony and a very long finish. These wines have been awarded
Medals at the most prestigious competitions in Europe.

The Alma de Chile collection also includes the high end In Situ wines,
produced by San Esteban and the Dos Pasos varietals, which are bottled with the
same commitment to excellence that began the Rojas family tradition
.
